In collaboration with artist Sonia Boyce and curator Gavin Wade, Plane Structure is designing and fabricating a multi-faceted crystalline display structure for Sonia’s upcoming exhibition at Eastside Projects. Here we’re testing a series of production methods and materials, working out how to create a highly complicated structure that remains on budget and practical to install in a short period of time.

A series of bespoke table tops destined for a bar in Scotland. These have a solid ash frame with profiles that we machined in-house, topped with a leather-effect lino with in-laid gold detailing.

Fabrication and installation of a sprung dance floor for Trinity Laban’s new studio, on behalf of K Dancefloors. The floor is made up of several individual panels that were fabricated in our Birmingham workshop and then moved to London for installation.

Fabrication and installation of Suspect Objects exhibition by Faisal Hussain at WAR Gallery, London. Plane Structure created the aluminium structure to combine four existing signs made by the artist into one externally mountable piece; this was then installed on the outside of the gallery (in the pouring rain!).
