Design, fabrication and installation of a bespoke display case for showing maquettes outdoors over a long period of time. The case has an aluminium frame, glazed with tough polycarbonate. The roof is centrally draining (to protect against rain) and the case is installed with solar power to provide internal lighting at night. The case was installed in the University of Birmingham’s new Green Heart, a green oasis in the heart of campus. Four shortlisted artists for The University of Birmingham Arts & Science Commission showed models of their work in the display case, coinciding with a public vote to choose the winning sculpture design.

Working to the client’s design, fabrication of a stage structure at Eastside Projects, Birmingham. The stage was then transformed into Hell Mouth 3 by Turner Prize-nominated artist Monster Chetwynd, whilst also doubling as a stage for music performances as part of Supersonic Festival.

Working collaboratively with Sense, we designed and made a set of accessible signage for Touch Base Pears, a pioneering multi-use centre in Selly Oak, Birmingham. The signs are intended to be used by people with complex disabilities and include high-contrast raise text, braille, audio and an object for recognition. The text was laser cut from Perspex and each letter then individually glued in place to provide text that’s readable by touch.

A series of extra-large display plinths for Ian Andrews’ exhibition, ‘The Sketchbook and the Collider’, . The three perspex-covered light-box plinths form a major element of the installation at the Library of Birmingham.
