Prototyping furniture for Ikon’s Slow Boat

Ikon Gallery has commissioned Plane Structure to design and build a set of tables, chairs and benches for its Slow Boat – a 72 foot narrow boat that is used for art installations, talks and projects.

Installing Kelp Road

This impressive structure is suspended from the ceiling of the University of Birmingham’s Bramall Music Building. Part of the exhibition Kelp Road, the installation creates the effect of a kelp forest and is accompanied with sea sounds, a collaboration between sound artist Scott Wilson and visual artist Anne Parouty. Plane Structure installed the installation, which forms part of the University of Birmingham Arts & Science Festival.
