Plane Structure has produced 50 panels of sprung dance flooring to K Dance Floors, one of the world’s leading floor suppliers to the professional dance industry. The delivery included bespoke dollies for the panels to be transported on.
Plane Structure was commissioned by music artists Graham Dunning and Sam Underwood to make these instruments for their project Connected Devices. The MDF prototypes were then made up into a set of modular instruments, each finished with high pressure laminate. The instruments made their debut at Supersonic Festival.
We built a set for Birmingham Royal Ballet’s new production, Embrace. This picture shows the realisation of their model into a set capable of being assembled during the interval of a triple bill; performers can place themselves both in-front and behind the screen doors to create a striking visual impact on stage.
A set of display structures designed and installed at Tate Modern for Warwick University’s residency in the Tate Exchange space. The structures are made of ash and perspex, and are intended for the display of interpretation material.
